Statement

The desire to capture space, time, emotion and experience cannot be fully captured on canvas. The result of my work is more suggestive than representative. Through my pictorial process, I create a unique visual vocabulary that represents me, using colours to impart a strong emotional charge.

How the works I made vary considerably from one piece to another. Some are finely painted, while others are more elaborate in terms of the amount of material or collage that is related. In all of them, a flow is perceived and an intense sensation of arriving at an image instead of creating a fixed and specific representation. It is not necessary to draw universal limits, we can reach a new limitless line and each visible fragment has the appearance of infinity.

As an artist, I have gone through different stages: figurative painting, geometric painting, landscapes, collages and investigating conceptual minimalism, where the eventual result comes from new learning and this fusion reveals the pictorial process where we face visibility of abstraction and thus remain faithful to proceed.

My current goals are dazzled as the results of the works are revealed, exploring the latest possibilities of figuration supported by stylistic abstraction. Being immersed in the use of canvases of different formats has favoured the exploration of oil painting, which is my favourite. In addition, I use acrylics, inks, watercolours, coloured pencils and pigments.

Using large layers of paint, I enhance the matter and the colour is transformed to give us a strange combination of light and darkness, memory and disconnection.

The paper is another great experience that is very comfortable for me, because of the results that it allows me to obtain. The fluidity, delicacy and subtlety are the eminent results at the end of the elaborate process.
