Musicality
A project born out of a unified vision that mixes all forms of art into one...
Dr Tony Karam, a famous physician and renowned international pianist was invited by the Peoria Riverfront Museum to give a piano recital in Peoria, Illinois, the USA on December 19th, 2021. The venue was decided to be the historic Scottish Rite theatre.
As Tony was preparing for his concert he invited me to collaborate with him on this project in transforming his interpretation of sixteen classical musical pieces onto the canvas. This unique and special idea was complementary to my vision of music in that it evokes emotions and emotions move the hand and the colours onto canvas.
The product of this endeavour was sixteen paintings that reflect the story behind every piece and conveys a more complete form of emotion derived from the senses of hearing and vision combined.
I chose 2 of these 16 artworks; Elegie and Prelude by Rachmaninoff, to be selected for the Budapest Artfair in October.
Biograpghy
The international award winning Lebanese Artist Zeina Nader was born in Lebanon. She graduated from the Saint Joseph University in Beirut with a degree in Communication Arts. Instead of pursuing her promising career in the fields of theatre, cinema and photography, she chose to adopt her initial love and passion: Painting.
Zeina exhibited her work all around the world in cities such as New York, Paris, London, Madrid, Milan, Monaco, Copenhagen and Bruges to name a few.
Furthermore, her paintings were selected to be exhibited at the Peoria Riverfront Museum - Illinois, in December 2021and January 2022.
One of her large masterpieces (Acrylic on canvas, 150 cm x 150 cm), was officially acquired by the same museum in the USA to be in their permanent collection.
She is also an author and published four books about her art and travels. She speaks 5 languages and teaches art for students of all ages. She is inspired by everything and anything. Her “synesthesia” was behind a recent exposition which carried that same name. Her latest project digs into the furthest depth of synesthesia, transforming music and its emotions onto colors on canvas.
To Zeina Nader, life itself is the greatest artwork to ever exist.
